Kanye West clearly does not care if his Confederate flag merchandise is creating controversy.

Actually, the rapper took it one step further on Monday wearing a green utility jacket with a bold confederate flag positioned on the right arm to Barney's New York store in Beverly Hills.

Just a week before West blasted Barney's during a concert after the retailer faced accusations of racially-profiling black customers in their store.

Kanye West's got flak over the weekend as people pointed out that the official tour merchandise is marked with the Confederate flag. So what did West have to say about it?

During an interview with Los Angeles' 97.1 AMP Radio he stated:

"The Confederate flag represented slavery in a way. That's my abstract take on what I know about it, right? So I wrote the song 'New Slaves.' So I took the Confederate flag and made it my flag. It's my flag now. Now what you gonna do."
