After a concert in late 2012, Meek Mill was detained by the Philadelphia Police Department and forced to spend a night in jail.  Meek sued the cops over the incident since he had to miss a paid appearance in Atlanta.  The Philly Police won the case but Meek apparently had a lasting effect on one of the police officers.

According to TMZ, an officer who had been fired due to unrelated allegations is claiming that Meek defamed him during interviews.  He said that he has been unable to find work after the rapper’s public criticism.  The ex-cop also claims that the case has “had a strong effect on my life and relationship performance with my fiancee.”  He’s looking for $750k in damages.
