Haiti Death Toll Raises To 700 After 7.2 Magnitude Earthquake

A 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti on Saturday in the western part of the nation, killing more than 700 people and injuring thousands of others, AFP News Agency reports. Prime Minister Ariel Henry declared a state of emergency and will mobilize government resources to help victims in the affected areas, says The AP.

The damage and devastation come as Haiti braces itself for Tropical Storm Grace, which could hit the island in the next few days.
