Video Surfaces Of Gunna Walking Out Of Jail A Free Man

Gunna was released from jail Wednesday after pleading guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge. As previously reported, the rapper (real name Sergio Kitchens) entered an Alford plea and admitted to one count of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corruption Act.

After negotiating the deal, Gunna was sentenced to five years, but the one year he served behind bars was commuted to time served while the remaining four were suspended. Following the news of the rap star's deal, new video footage shows his release.

Gunna is seen with a smile on his as he exits the building with a female companion and two others. As he enters a Maybach truck, one reporter asked why he took a plea deal before he was told Gunna would not make any statements.

In addition to Gunna's release, details of his plea agreement have also been released. One of the requirements is that he testify if called to the stand. However, Gunna could plead the Fifth and has stated that he will not testify. As part of the plea, Gunna admitted to being in the car with Young Thug when officers discovered hydrocodone, methamphetamine, and a gun during a traffic stop. The rapper claimed that the gun and drugs were not his.

“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” the rapper said in a statement obtained by The Times.

Gunna is also required to complete 500 hours of community service and cannot carry a firearm. Failure to adhere to the rules of his plea agreement could result in the DA revoking his suspended sentence.
