The Journey of a Rising Music Producer Beniano Beats

Beniano Beats is a name that is quickly gaining recognition in the world of music production. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Beniano, whose real name is Benson Dirosier, moved to Atlanta in 2016 with one clear mission: to pursue his dreams of becoming a successful music producer. His story, marked by a deep-rooted passion for music, a willingness to take risks, and an unwavering belief in his craft, is one of both struggle and triumph. As he continues to grow as a producer, he is on a mission to share his narrative, his authenticity, and his music with the world.

The story behind his name is rooted in both inspiration and serendipity. He first encountered the term “Belliano” in a sound patch on his Korg Trinity keyboard, a music workstation that he purchased early in his journey. The name struck a chord with him, resonating with both his personal identity and musical ambitions. "Beniano" was born, combining his nickname “Ben” with a nod to his musical prowess. From there, he added “Beats” to complete the moniker, solidifying his identity as a music producer who creates both captivating melodies and cutting-edge soundscapes.

He was born in the heart of the city of Miami, and raised in the most dangerous neighborhood in Miami, Liberty City. With all odds against him, he surrounded himself with music, working on his craft, and turning his life to God. Other music and sports talents rose to national prominence from the area such as rappers Young Miami and JT from the City Girls, Trina and Trick Daddy NBA player Udonis Haslem and NFL players Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson.

His introduction to music came early on through the sounds of his church, where he started as a drummer before transitioning to the keyboard. His mother’s purchase of a Casio keyboard for his sister would plant the seed for his musical journey. Though his sister never took to it, he quickly became fascinated with the instrument and began teaching himself to play by ear at just 11 years old.

After years of honing his skills and diving deeper into music production, he made the life-changing decision to relocate to Atlanta in April 2016. The move was both a personal and professional risk—leaving behind his family and hometown to immerse himself in a city known for its thriving music scene. It was in Atlanta that he truly began to develop his unique sound and style as a producer, drawing from his rich background in gospel, melodic, and southern influences.

“I moved to Atlanta to pursue my music career and to develop my craft as a music producer,” he says. “It was a big step, but I knew it was the right move for me to achieve my dreams.”

His sound is best described as versatile, drawing from a wide array of genres while remaining rooted in his musical background. His early years spent playing in the church as both a drummer and keyboardist greatly influenced his approach to music production. The soulful, melodic chords and passion-filled rhythms he experienced in those formative years continue to echo throughout his work.

His primary genres of focus are hip-hop and R&B, but he has a special ability to blend various styles, often incorporating gospel elements and his signature piano skills into his beats. Producers like Scott Storch and Zaytoven have been frequent points of comparison due to their own mastery of melodies and soulful sound, but he insists that his style is distinctly his own. “I have been given a special touch by God that is embedded in my hands which gives me my own sound,” he says.

His music production journey began in earnest around 2012, when he first recorded a track using Native Instruments Maschine. Over the years, he refined his craft, transitioning to FL Studio, which became a game-changer for his production process. As he continued to hone his skills, he began to work with a variety of artists, contributing beats to tracks by the likes of Big Walk Dog, Baby B, Calboy, and many others.

Despite being an independent producer, his work has made waves, particularly due to his piano skills and ability to craft versatile beats. His name began to gain traction within the Atlanta music scene, as well as in the broader hip-hop and R&B communities. Songs like "I Chose" with Big Walk Dog and "Weak For Me" with Baby B stand out as key examples of his signature style.

“I am mostly known for my piano skills and versatility in making beats,” he says. “The piano is a big part of who I am as a musician.”

One of the most exciting aspects of his career is his continued collaboration with up-and-coming artists and established names in the music industry. He’s worked alongside Big Walk Dog, Baby B, Kodie Shane, Lil Durk, and others, bringing his unique sound to a variety of tracks.

In addition to collaborations with artists, he has worked with notable producers like Twysted Genius, Atlrxney, and Avery on the Beat,

further solidifying his position in the producer community.

Looking to the future, he has ambitious goals. “My goal is to become a multi-platinum producer and a well-established figure within the industry,” he says. “But I also want to give back to the producer community and the communities I grew up in. I want to be an inspiration to others and show them that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.”

His current projects include working on an album with an exciting artist, continuing to produce and collaborate on new tracks, and aiming to score music for TV shows and films. "I want to work in the film industry scoring films and travel with my family all around the world," he adds, expressing his aspirations beyond just music production.

Throughout his journey, he has faced numerous challenges, both personal and professional, but his faith and determination have kept him moving forward. His message to aspiring musicians and producers is clear: take risks, trust in God, and never give up. “Don’t be afraid to take risks and trust God always, especially during challenges. Anything is possible—never give up.”

As he continues to rise in the industry, his music will no doubt continue to inspire others. With a powerful combination of skill, passion, and authenticity, he is poised to make a lasting impact, not just as a producer, but as an artist who embodies the power of persistence and the pursuit of dreams.
