MARSH HARBOUR, Bahamas (WBZ NewsRadio) — One month after Hurricane Dorian, dog was rescued over the weekend in the Bahamas after being trapped underneath rubble from a collapsed building.

According to Big Dog Ranch Rescue, the dog—which has since been named Miracle—was found alive underneath an air conditioner and some debris.

"What an incredible story that we were able to discover this dog alive after being trapped for so long," Big Dog Ranch Rescue Founder and President Lauree Simmons said in a statement. "We are using the latest technology for our recovery teams to locate these animals. In this case drones played a key role."

Big Dog Ranch Rescue said they have rescued 138 dogs from the Bahamas.

Following the hurricane, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals transported hundreds homeless animals to shelters here in New England, as well as in Illinois, Ohio, and New York.
