Netflix and its users are taking a big hit as a phishing attack reaches everyones inboxes.
Police are warning Netflix lovers to check their bank statements immediately. The email scam, which is allegedly from Netflix, requires users to update their login information via a link provided. Upon clicking the link, users are taken to a second screen and asked to provide:
- Name on credit card
- Card number
- Card expiration date
- Card security code
- Social Security Number
Most would say they'd never fall for this, but police are attesting that the email is so well fabricated that our email providers have an extremely difficult time recognizing the scam as span.
PRO TIP: Never update your personal information via email - always do so on the verified website!
