A group of teens, all young men of 15 or 16, mistakenly thought the Central Park pond in NYC was solid ice and stepped out onto it to take a selfie together. That's when the ice under them broke and the group plummeted into the freezing water.
Samaritans looking on helped rescue the teens before the fire department arrived. Luckily, all teens made a full recovery despite suffering hypothermia.
