You won’t believe your eyes when you see the rarest case of a parasitic twin doctors have ever seen. Born in the Ivory Coast of West Africa, baby Dominique was born with a parasitic rachipagus twin whose legs jutted out from her back and neck.
The surgery to free Dominique from what essentially a non sentient twin tumor, was extremely dangerous since her spine was fused with it. The main risk was paralysis but he family knew her quality of life was at stake so they decided it was worth it. With the help of charities they were able to get Dominique to America for the help she needed.
The Doctors at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois were up for the challenge.
