Christina Fisher arranged for her unborn baby to be adopted, obviously before she knew that her baby would be born with Treacher Collins syndrome. When Abigail Lynn was born, her prospective adoptive mother abandoned the little girl after learning about her condition.
Treacher Collins syndrome (TCS) affects the development of bones and tissues in the face, including underdevelopment of cheek bones and small jaw, chin and ears.
When her adoptive mother abandoned her, Fisher stepped up to the plate and took on the responsibility of raising Abigail on her own. "...the adoptive mom left the hospital crying saying how deformed she is... and [I] never heard from her again. That is when I realized she is meant to be mine only now.." Fisher says.
Our hearts are warm knowing this baby is in good hands, with who she was supposed to be with all along.
