Brianna Laux's basketball injury actually saved her life. She got hit by another player's elbow in the temple of her head during a middle school game. When she tried to keep playing, she felt something was really wrong. Eventually, she left from the game.
Her parents thought it was just a run-of-the-mill concussion but Brianna kept getting worse and worse. She was having trouble breathing and was essentially screaming in pain. They rushed her to the hospital where doctors rushing her for a brain scan and were shocked by what they found.
