BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Anton Khudobin's been awfully good for the Bruins when he's had the opportunity to back up Tuukka Rask.

He won a pair of road games last week and he's lost just one of his last 8 starts in regulation with a 1-85 goals-against-average.

His teammate Torey Krug's appreciated his goalie's efforts.

"He's important," Krug said. "The last couple of games he's been in, he's done a great job for us coming through. We're a little sloppy or a little sleepy, and you need your goalie to be your best penalty killer certain nights, and he definitely was. He obviously made those big stops when he could."

Rask is a ridiculous 19-1-and-2 his last 23 appearances and he'll be back in the crease tonight when the Bruins host the Flames. The vet's never lost in regulation in the match-up, with a 1-61 goals-against-average and .940 save percentage.

Calgary has points in 15 of 18, but starting goalie Mike Smith's out with a lower body injury, so rookie David Rittich will get the nod instead. He's helped his club to points in 7 of his 8 starts.

Former Boston College standout Johnny Gaudreau plays for the Flames. He was named the NHL's second star of the week Monday.

The puck drops at 7.
