Man Arrested In New Year's Eve Public Gardens Stabbing

LYNN (WBZ-AM) -- A suspect who was wanted in the New Year's Eve stabbing and robbery of a man in the Public Gardens has been arrested in Lynn, Boston Police said.

Joshua Enos, 21 of Lynn, was arrested by the Boston Police Fugitive Unit around 3:20 p.m. Thursday on Essex Street. He's charged with armed robbery, armed kidnapping with serious bodily injury, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Police said Enos and two other men approached a group of people who were walking through the Gardens around 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve, demanded their money, stabbed one of them, and took the man they stabbed to an ATM to demand more money.

Enos and the other men fled on foot; the victim was treated for a non-life-threatening stab wound at a local hospital.
