Person Struck By MBTA Red Line Train At Fields Corner

BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Ashmont branch service on the Red Line was partially suspended Friday morning after a person was struck by a train at Fields Corner, the MBTA said.

MBTA spokesperson Joe Pesaturo said the person was "conscious and alert" and transported to an area hospital.

The MBTA said service between the JFK and Ashmont stops would be run by buses, and warned commuters to expect delays.

Twitter users were complaining of conditions as they waited for shuttle buses.
