State Trooper, Tow Driver Struck On 95N While Responding To Call

BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- A Massachusetts State Police Trooper and a tow truck driver were responding to a disabled vehicle on 95N in Wakefield when they were struck and injured by a passing car.

The crash occurred at 6:11 AM Tuesday, just north of Exit 40. The trooper and tow truck driver were outside of their own vehicles when the passing car struck both men, before crashing into the tow truck.

Both the trooper and the tow truck driver have been transported to Lahey Hospital in Burlington with non-life threatening injuries. No charges have been filed at this time.
