Worcester Massachusetts MC Joyner Lucas just dropped a new song and video for "Devils Work" a song where he asks the man above to rethink some decisions that me made by taking the lives of good people such as Nipsey Hussle and Tupac and suggested replacing them with "bad" people like R. Kelly and Tomi Lahren.
Joyner spits: "I pray you give us back the real ones and try again/Or maybe take them niggas that deserve to die instead/Tomi Lahren run her mouth and then she get defensive," Joyner raps. "Laura Ingraham laughin' at death and disrespectin'/I really feel like you should teach them stupid hoes a lesson/Either that or give us back somebody who deserve the blessings."
Tomi heard the song and was not pleased and responded in a string of twitter posts saying she though the song was "disgusting."
Joyner though took to his instagram to expose a DM sent to him by Tomi that said, ""Although I don't appreciate you depicting and calling for my death in your latest music video, I would like to sit down and talk with you on or off camera," Tomi wrote in her DM. "Maybe we can find some common ground."
Joyner captioned the screenshot of his DM with Tomi, "I wonder how this conversations gonna go @tomilahren," and added a shrug emoji.
But the drama doesn't stop there. The Worcester church where Joyner shot the music video is also up in arms after the head of St. Peter’s in Worcester says he never would have given permission to shoot the video if he knew the message involved.
“I don’t know anything about rap music, so I guess it offended some people,” Monsignor Frank Scollen said. Read more on his thoughts here.
