Celebrity chef and restaurateur Guy Fieri is bringing a little bit of "flavortown" to Beantown with a new restaurant to open adjacent to the TD Garden.
"Boston has always been one of my favorite cities to hit for 'DDD' (Fieri’s show 'Diners, Drive-ins and Dives') … great people and even better food," Fieri said in a release.
Tequila Cocina will be part of The Hub on Causeway – a 1.5-million-square-foot expansion of the TD Garden area of retail, office, hotel and residential space. The project also includes a 40,000-square-foot entertainment space from Big Night Entertainment Group that will offer live entertainment and nightlife, including Fieri’s restaurant.
"To have the chance to start the party at Big Night Live with my Tequila Cocina, I couldn’t be more stoked!" Fieri said in the release.
The eatery will occupy 6,000 square feet within Big Night Live, with 185 seats, an expansive bar, a menu that brings the flavors of Latin America and more than 100 different types of tequila, according to Big Night Entertainment Group’s release.
The restaurant is expected to open in fall 2019.
