Evacuations are under way in South Lawrence where emergency crews are responding to a major Columbia gas leak.
Residents in Lawrence were woken up to knocks on their doors at 3am this morning and ordered to immediately leave their houses and were bused to a nearby school that is now doubling as a shelter.
This comes just one year and a few weeks after Lawrence was rocked by a similar gas leak that resulted in devastating results.
