Police Investigating After Woman Found Dead In Groton Home

GROTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife in Groton Saturday evening.

Mary Fairbairn, 57, was found dead in her home from "apparent stab wounds," according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.

Her husband, Gregory Fairbairn, 62, reportedly called the police. He was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The Middlesex District Attorney's Office said that "additional charges are expected."

The death is still under investigation.

Gregory Fairbairn is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
