Massachusetts Considering Banning The B-Word

Tuesday afternoon a new bill was introduced before the Massachusetts’ Joint Committee on the Judiciary which proposed the banning of the word Bitch.

The bill proposes that any person who uses the word be deemed “disorderly,” and would face a $150 fine on a first offense, then $200 fine or 6 months or less in prison.

State Rep. Daniel Hunt filled the bill in May after he says he was requested to do so on behalf of a constituent.

“Any time a constituent approaches me with something that is of concern to them, I follow through with it,” Hunt told theBoston Herald. “In this instance, someone asked me to file a bill that they deemed was important and I thought it was a good exercise to let that bill go through the process.”
