Cardi B's Coronavirus Rants Becomes A Hit Song (Listen)

Cardi B took to social media on Tuesday (March 17) to react to the remix of her coronavirus rant going viral in almost every sense of the word, including entering the iTunes charts.

"Stream I guess," the rapper tweeted using laughing emojis one day earlier, when the DJ iMarkkeyz-crafted track was uploaded to iTunes and Apple Music and broke through at No. 96 on the platform's Hip-Hop/Rap Songs chart. Cardi also expressed her disbelief at the remix's momentum, writing, "Wow it's on apple?"

By Tuesday, the song had reportedly jumped all the way to No. 5 -- as well as No. 37 on iTunes overall -- leading Cardi to lift a line from the original video and declare her new catchphrase: "S--t is getting real!"

The moment-turned-meme has already prompted yet another remix by DJ Snake, and even earned a reenactment from Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson, who parodied the rapper's viral video while self-isolating together amidst the global pandemic.
