Gov. Baker Issues No-Parking Ban At Coastal Beach Reservations

HULL, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Gov. Charlie Baker has ordered that all parking areas at state coastal beach reservation be closed to help encourage social distancing.

The order goes into effect at noon on Friday.

In Hull, you can expect to see barriers on the parking lot at Nantasket Beach, and state police enforcing the no-parking ban. However, locals are still able to walk along the beach.

Officials in Hull were concerned about the amount of people heading to the beach when the weather is nice during this global pandemic

“Everybody’s concerned about their health. People are very much on edge,” Hull Town Manager Phil Lemnios said.
