Tekashi 6ix9ine Is Granted Early Release Due To The Coronavirus

A Federal judge in Manhattan has granted an early prison release to Tekashi 6ix9ine because of the Coronavirus outbreak and his asthma, which makes him more vulnerable to the virus.

Tekashi's attorney, Lance Lazzarro, confirmed that he was released from prison saying, "We are all very happy that he was released."

Tekashi's release from a prison in Jamaica, Queens comes after more than a week of failed attempts from his legal team to release him early. He was orignally Tekashis was released from a prison in Jamaica, Queens yesterday afternoon after more than a week of failed attempts from his legal team. Prior to his release, he was scheduled to be released on August 1st.

Tekashi will now serve the rest of his term from home and will be subject to GPS monitoring over the next four months.
