BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) – Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman has been reunited with her dog, Mylo, who went missing almost a week ago.

Raisman said Mylo ran away in Boston’s Seaport district during a firework display on July 3. She even sought the public’s help on Twitter in finding her dog.

Raisman asked people to not actively search for Mylo by yelling his name or running around looking for him.

Missing Dogs Massachusetts, the organization that works to reunite missing and found dogs with their owners, advised Raisman that scared dogs will make bad decisions if they feel pressured.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Friday Raisman announced that Mylo was found with the assistance of two women and another dog.

Raisman, a Needham native, was a member of the 2012 and 2016 U.S. women’s Olympic gymnastics teams, both of which won the gold medal.

With two team and four individual Olympic medals, the 27-year-old is the second-most decorated Olympic gymnast in American history.
