Trigger warning: mentions of self-harm/suicide

Eminem's ex-wife, Kim Scott, was hospitalized last month following a suicide attempt.

According to TMZ, police and emergency workers "responded to a call of a suicidal person at Kim's home in Michigan on July 30."

Sources told the outlet, Kim became combative with law enforcement when they arrived at her home. So much so, she had to be "restrained by deputies."

As noted by law enforcement insiders, it appeared that Kim had cut herself as "she had several small lacerations on the back of her leg and a good amount of blood was on the floor," TMZ reported. Once Kim was restrained by officers she was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital where she received a medical and psychological evaluation.

The 46-year-old has since returned home and is said to be recovering.

Eminem and Kim divorced in 2001 after trying the knot just two years prior. The former couple, who met as teenagers, briefly remarried in January 2006. However, that recoupling also ended in divorce with the two calling it quits three months later. The exes share a daughter, 25-year-old Hailie Jade.

Kim previously attempted suicide in October 2015. “I never expected to make it out of that alive," she said in an interview following the incident. "I apologized immensely. I did not even expect to make it through that..."
