Mario is back with his first solo album in over six years, and he's got a steamy new music video to go along with his next big hit.
On Friday, December 13, the seasoned R&B singer delivered his sixth studio LP Glad You Came via New Citizen/Epic Records. The album, executive produced by James Fauntleroy, comes with 13 new songs including the title track and his previous song "Space." As part of his new album, Mario also released his latest single “Keep Going (Aaaaahhhhh)," which drops today as iHeartRadio's latest World Premiere. In the video, Mario tries to win back the girl of his dreams after a brief lover's quarrel.
“Glad You Came is an offering, not only an offering to my fans who have been very loyal and patient but to myself and the young 15-year-old Mario who always vowed to stay true to what felt authentic,” Mario says about the album.
The Grammy award-winning singer hasn't dropped a project since he delivered Dancing Shadows in 2018. Since then, he collaborated with the likes of Chris Brown and Tory Lanez but hadn't shared any solo tracks until earlier this year. Mario released his Bynx-produced track "Space" in September and announced the plans for his new LP in October.
Mario's new album comes a month before he joins Mary J. Blige and NE-YO on the "For My Fans Tour." The tour kicks off on January 30 in Greensboro, N.C., and runs through various cities around the U.S. The trio will wrap up in Boston on April 14. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.
