OG Maco is currently on life support in Los Angeles following an alleged failed suicide attempt.

Maco's manager Poppa Perc confirmed he's still breathing in a statement to AllHipHop on Thursday, December 12. Perc said the "U Guessed It" rapper shot himself in the head. He was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after a neighbor heard the gunshot and called paramedics. As of this report, there aren't a lot of details about his condition.

“I thought he was dead when I first saw him,” Perc said. “We were about rebrand and drop [new music] under a whole new alias. We need everyone’s prayers.”

Prior to Poppa Perc's statement, people within the music industry believed OG Maco had died. DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia posted a photo of the 32-year-old artist and briefly eulogized him.

"Love U Nephew!" he wrote in his now-deleted post. "We wish people we love spoke out to us more about whats going on inside but a lot of times its hard for some because this world is so driven on ‘Impressions.'”

OG Maco has been in the rap game since 2011. He dropped various mixtapes including 10 Moons and Live Life before he signed with Quality Control Music in 2014. He dropped his self-titled project that same year with his smash hit "U Guessed It" and the remix featuring 2 Chainz. He spent most of 2016 dropping projects even after he overcame several health issues from a horrific incident.

Maco got into a near-fatal car crash in the summer of 2016. He suffered from multiple serious injuries and nearly lost his right eye. Maco went through several surgeries and made a full recovery from the accident. Three years later, Maco revealed that he suffered from a flesh-eating disease known as necrotizing fasciitis.

“So much healing has a [sic] occurred thanks to God and my doctors that I’m willing to show all a fraction of what I’ve been going through,” Maco said in 2019. “I was improperly treated for a minor rash and ended up with a skin-eating disease for the last few months. This is the best it’s looked. I hope it gives someone hope.”

We hope OG Maco pulls through once again.
