50 Cent says he wants to get Eminem to make new music for the upcoming Street Fighter film.
The cast of Street Fighter was recently revealed in a series of post on social media. After revealing what he looks like as "BALROG," Fif shared a brief clip of the cast in action on Saturday, December 13, along with separate footage of himself as the boxer from the CAPCOM video game. In the caption of his post, the rapper-filmmaker revealed that he's trying to get Slim Shady to cook up some new music for the film.
"I’m gonna get @eminem on deck to make some music for this movie Street Fighter 🔥🎥New Music on the way!" he wrote.
Eminem has had plenty of success making music for soundtracks in the past. His hit "Lose Yourself" from the 8 Mile soundtrack went on to win an Oscar for Best Original Song, and snagged two Grammys for Best Male Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Song. Since then, he's contributed to other notable film soundtracks, including Southpaw, Venom and more. As of this report, there's no confirmation that Eminem will work on the Street Fighter soundtrack, but 50 Cent is clearly manifesting the possibility for us.
Street Fighter is the third live-action film of the iconic franchise. The film stars 50 Cent as well as Jason Mamoa, Joe "Roman Reigns" Anoa'i, Cody Rhodes, Andrew Schulz, Eric André, Noah Centineo and more. Street Fighter debuts in theaters October 16.
