Another 626 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed In Massachusetts Sunday

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health confirmed another 626 cases of COVID-19 Sunday, bringing the state's number of confirmed cases to 132,440.

The state DPH reported an additional three deaths, upping the total number of deaths among confirmed cases to 9,295. There have also been 215 deaths among probable cases of the virus in Massachusetts.

Nearly 25,000 confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 have been reported among residents or workers at the state's long-term health care facilities.

There are currently 438 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Massachusetts, up from 416 hospitalized on Saturday. 83 patients are receiving intensive care, and 27 are intubated.

According to Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center, the U.S. has confirmed more than 7.4 million cases of COVID-19 and nearly 210,000 Americans have died of COVID-19.
