BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — After a round of closures across the country, there are now no more "Boston Market" restaurants in Boston.

A Boston Market spokesperson confirmed to WBZ NewsRadio that locations on Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester and Mass Ave in Boston were both part of a wave of closures that saw 45 restaurants of the chain shuttered at the end of June.

Despite the local-sounding name (not to mention an ad campaign that featured Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird), the Sun Capital Partners-owned chain is based in Golden, Colorado, not Boston.

The chain has been struggling. A recent Mashed article claims that's due to several reasons, including a quick expansion, high overhead costs, and an outdated menu.

There are still 16 other Boston Market locations in Massachusetts.
