BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — There have been reports that Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum is ‘ready to go’ ahead of Friday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks.

It was in the 2025 Eastern Conference semifinals last May that the Celtics forward tore his right Achilles tendon. A few months later, Tatum said he wasn’t sure when he would make his return to the court. A post on X from ESPN Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania on Thursday revealed that Tatum could return just in time for Friday's matchup at TD Garden.

Now, just 10 months after his injury, there’s potential that Tatum will make his season debut at the Garden this Friday, with a final decision expected to be announced before the game.

ESPN’s Injury Report has Tatum listed as questionable for his return.
