HAVERHILL, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Haverhill High School is addressing several students’ behavior who were involved in destructive acts sparked by a TikTok trend.

The “Devious Licks” challenge involves students stealing various objects from their schools and it has not just occurred in Haverhill. Frankie from Framingham has seen it happen at his school.

“They’ve stolen ceiling tiles," he said. "They’ve stolen soap dispensers and they’ve stolen some desks too.”

William from Waltham said he finds the viral videos entertaining but has some advice for his peers.

“If you’re going to do it, take something funny,” he said. “Take something not so serious and give it back.”

Haverhill High School Principal Jason Meland told the Eagle Tribune that the school has a zero-tolerance policy for this kind behavior.

“Any student involved in destructive acts will be required to pay restitution for the damage and will face other school-based consequences,” he said.

During the week, the school plans on taking several steps to address this behavior including meeting with students to them of the school’s expectations.
