BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Call it a sign of spring: Food trucks have returned to Boston's Rose Kennedy Greenway after a long winter away.

The Rose Kennedy Greenway is a 1.5-mile strip of green space that snakes through Boston's downtown. It was established after the "Big Dig" infrastructure project moved area highways underground.

Food trucks begin returning to points along the greenway in early spring. Each truck has a different schedule; Moyzilla, for example, serves up Asian street food on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Dewey Square, while Revelry offers New Orleans staples every Friday on Rowes Wharf Plaza.

Twenty-one trucks in total will pass through the greenway this year, according to the Greenway Conservancy. Fourteen of those trucks are returning from previous years, and another seven are new for 2026.

Several areas along the Rose Kennedy Greenway will host food trucks this spring, but so far only trucks in Dewey Square and on Rowes Wharf Plaza have opened for business. Trucks on State Street, on Milk Street, near the Greenway Carousel, and near the North End will open May 1.
