BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — President Donald Trump is expected to address the nation on “an important update” on Iran on Wednesday night, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced on social media.
The address is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET.
This comes after Iran rejected the 15-point ceasefire deal from the U.S. earlier this week to end the war.
Trump told NBC News on Tuesday that he believes the war is going to take another two to three weeks, surpassing the initial deadline to end the military operation in the Middle East.
The war in Iran has entered its second month. Intense strikes continue overseas as thousands of American troops are being deployed to the region.
Meanwhile, Iran clamps down on the Strait of Hormuz as oil prices back home skyrocketed to an average of $4.06 a gallon. This is the first time since 2022 that the national gas price has increased above $4.
WBZ NewsRadio will carry the President’s address live.
