Marcel Hug Wins Wheelchair Men's Race In 130th Boston Marathon

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Marcel Hug, the Paralympic athlete from Switzerland, has placed 1st in the Wheelchair Men's race with a time of 1:16:06, making him the champion for the 9th time.

Hug previous placed first in the Boston Marathon in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025.

His time today is just shy of his personal best, which he achieved in 2024 with 1:15:33.

Throughout his career, he has also won 20 medals in the Paralympic events, with eight of them being gold, nine being silver, and three being bronze.
