BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Saint Margaret’s Church in Dorchester was packed on Saturday for its annual St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser breakfast.

The event at the Mary Ann Brett Food Pantry is held in honor of the mother of former Dorchester State Representative Jim Brett.

Brett was in attendance, along with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and other local officials, who enjoyed a meal with residents and delivered remarks.

“We’ve been a place where people from all around the world, every culture, are welcomed, are part of our community, and make a big difference,” said Mayor Wu. “We’re proud to stand up for all of our neighbors.”

WBZ Nightside’s Dan Rea emceed the event.
