BEDFORD, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A New Hampshire State Police trooper, assigned to Gov. Kelly Ayotte's security detail, helped pull a driver from a burning car at the Bedford Toll Plaza on Tuesday.
Ayotte and her security team came across the fiery crash, which happened just before noon when a car hit the toll plaza.
New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall said in a statement that the governor and others at the scene "provided assistance."

The driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The northbound lanes of the Everett Turnpike were closed on Tuesday. The crash is still under investigation.
