BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Northeastern University Police issued a safety warning after an aggravated assault occurred near campus Saturday night.
According to university authorities, a student said "a black male suspect" assaulted him at around 10:30 p.m. in front of the Marino Recreation Center, the school’s gym facility.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
NUPD said the suspect fled the area. Authorities have increased security around campus out of caution.
Meanwhile, Boston Police are assisting in this investigation. WBZ Newsradio has reached out to BPD for comment.
