BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — State officials are evaluating the financial toll of last week's blizzard on residents and their property.

The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) is requesting feedback from residents to determine whether counties in the state are eligible for federal disaster assistance.

Residents can fill out a survey online to determine estimates for repairs and address any other issues that may have been caused by the blizzard. Some Bay Staters say they could definitely use the assistance.

"I had an ice dam in my condo, and water came through the roof. And I've been arguing with my condo association to get it fixed. It's just been a headache," one resident said.

Other residents who weren't directly impacted by the storm say they still see the lingering effects of the brutal weather.

"Damage from, like, tree branches falling into their roof, and stuff like that," another resident explained.

Residents can find the MEMA survey online at Mass.gov through March 6. They can also call Mass 2-1-1 if they need help filling out the form.
