Ultralight Aircraft Crashes, Sinks Into Lake Winnipesaukee

MEREDITH, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — One person is being evaluated after an ultralight aircraft crashed into Lake Winnipesaukee on Sunday afternoon.

Several witnesses said they saw the ultralight glider crash into the water near the entrance to Meredith Bay, off Pinnacle Park at around 3:30 p.m. It then sank into the lake, leaving at least one person in the water.

Authorities said there were numerous marine assets en route, and one person was on shore being evaluated. There was no further word on the person's condition.
