BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — More people across the country are getting sick from vaping—including several dozen in Massachusetts.

There are 38 reported cases of vape-linked lung infections in the state, with Boston Children's Hospital telling The Boston Globe that it is treating at least seven teenagers.

Meanwhile, hundreds of cases of similar illnesses have been reported nationwide.

A seventh death linked to vaping was confirmed in California on Monday. California Governor Gavin Newsome is launching a public safety campaign in that state to warn of the dangers after 63 residents were diagnosed.

The federal government is also urging people to stop vaping, while the Trump administration considers possibly banning flavored e-cigarettes.
