Art Basel has been going on in Miami, and many artist and entertainers have made their way to the city for festivities. One of those moments found Cardi B performing at a private event, where she claimed she was paid $1 million for a little over a half hour of her time. One Twitter user responded to Cardi’s clip of her performance by saying, “Not the grammy winner performing in someone’s backyard.” The event that Cardi performed at took place at the Chase Sapphire Lounge. Now, Cardi has clapped back while proving how much she was paid.
The rapper went on to respond by showing a screenshot of her contract, which was with WP Touring Inc. The agreement confirmed the rapper was paid the amount she claimed while at Art Basel. Cardi said, “I got [paid] 1 million dollars to perform at this elite banker’s event private event for 400 people and only for 35 minutes. THINK ABOUT THAT WHEN YOU TYPE ABOUT THIS GRAMMY WINNER.”
