Dating Kanye West and appearing in an Adam Sandler film would likely lead to assumptions that the person in question lives a luxurious life but Julia Fox displayed the opposite in a recent TikTok post.
The actress recently went viral after giving a tour of her one-bedroom Manhattan apartment that she shares with her infant son, Valentino. At the start of the video, she acknowledged that the tour would get her "roasted" but felt it would be encouraging to those who they're not accomplished in life.
"I never thought in a million years that I would do this, but I do believe in maximum transparency and so I am going to give you guys an apartment tour," the 32-year-old started. "I know I am going to get roasted and whatever, but hopefully maybe somebody can watch this and be like 'maybe I’m not doing so bad.'"
Fox started the tour by showing that her living room was converted into her bedroom. She then proceeds to show her "very tiny" bathroom before showing her son's mini kitchen across from the real kitchen.
"This is Valentino's little kitchen area, and then this is my kitchen area. Don't judge me I know. I know it's really messy," she says before showing her son's bedroom.
"I put the most effort in this room I think. I really wanted him to have a cute room," she continued. "However, he does not hang out here at all. He wants to be in momma's room. He like doesn't even sleep in there. He sleeps in bed with me. Yeah, we are co-sleepers. Sue me. I don't care," she said.
After concluding the tour, Fox said she feels "icky" by "excessive displays of wealth."
"Especially people that have really big houses. It's just really wasteful when there is just so many homeless people in this country. I just, I'm not really like that," Fox added.
Fox's post ended with her admitting that she has a mice problem that she doesn't really plan on dealing with.
"It's a problem depending how you look at it. I kind of let them rock," she admitted. "I appreciate that at night while we're sleeping, they clean up the crumbs that my son drops on the floor. So yeah, I'm not going to evict the mice anytime soon."
