Ja Rule is taking responsibility but not the blame for the chaos that was the "Fyre Festival". In a statement shared to Twitter after festival reps confirmed the postponement of the festival and Twitter drowned in jokes, Ja Rule said the chaos was not his fault but he was "taking responsibility."
The festival had been touted as a two-weekend "luxury" experience set to feature performances from Desiigner, Pusha T, Lil Yachty, and more. As social media posts from the fest’s Bahamas setting started rolling in on Thursday, however, Fyre's fate was brought into question. Then artist started pulling out of the show siting issues going on behind the scene.
Attendees described the experience as something out of refugee camp, with gourmet meals consisting of just cheese sandwiches, luxury cabanas were just tents and a scarcity of water. Check out the full story here and also pictures and videos below from different attendees.
So Fyre Fest is a complete disaster. Mass chaos. No organization. No one knows where to go. There are no villas, just a disaster tent city. pic.twitter.com/1lSWtnk7cA— William N. Finley IV (@WNFIV) April 27, 2017
