Boston has In just the past two years gained national notoriety in the Hip Hop thanks to natives like  Cousin Stizz, Joyner Lucas - Worcester, and Michael Christmas putting on for the region. Only a three hour drive from New York, undoubtably the mecca of Hip Hop, Boston has always lurked in the shadows waiting for our turn, with exception of the late Guru of Gang Starr (a native of Roxbury), veteran Dorchester emcee Akrobatik and recent Roc-Nation signee producer Statik Selektah

But that all may change as the once dormant Boston Hip Hop scene is building and ready to explode onto the national stage. Below check out and get familiar with some of Boston's finest leading the way to make sure the bean gets represented as it should.
