Vermont Will Pay You $10k To Live There And Work From Home

Vermont's current population is aging. And though Vermont is a beautiful state, known for it's maple syrup, its Tax base is disappearing. Because of this Vermont is kicking off a new initiative called the Remote Worker Grant Program, which will pay qualified full time workers $10k to move to Vermont and work from home. Joan Goldstein, commissioner of economic development for Vermont said "We recognize the need to recruit people to the state, and this is one of those efforts." To be eligible, a worker must be a full-time employee for an out-of-state business, work primarily from home or a co-working space in Vermont, and become a full-time resident on or after January 1, 2019.
