Aug 26th marks the return of 'Topless Day' at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire. The organizers of this event say that the purpose of this day is to help combat sexual harassment.
Kia Sinclair said women shouldnât be seen as sexual objects and exposed breasts are not an invitation for harassment or assault.âWeâre encouraged to dress and act in ways to protect ourselves from sexual objectification and harassment, yet it doesnât work. The #MeToo movement highlights what has always been happening. Sexual harassment and assault has always been going on,â Sinclair said.
This event was started back in 2015 and keeps going year to year according to organizers. For more on the story click here.
