Missy Elliott surprised the woman who went viral last month when she did a karaoke performance of “Work It” on Thursday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Mary Halsey spoke to DeGeneres on her show about the viral video that received millions of views when it was retweeted by Elliott, who called Halsey her “Funky White Sister,” in August.
Ellen then asked Mary to perform the song again for her audience to which she agreed. Mid way through the song, and to much of Mary's surprise, Missy Elliot joined her on stage and the two performed the 2002 hit together. Check out the epic video below.
Missy later gifted mary with a signed t-shirt and Ellen gave her jacket that said "Funky White Sister" on the back
