Tyler Barriss pleaded guilty to making a prank phone call to authorities in Wichita, Kansas, that resulted in police shooting an innocent father on his front porch. As he went before a judge this week for sentencing, Barriss, who has a history of swatting, was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison.
Swatting is when someone places a fake emergency call to someone's home about a kidnapping or shooting which prompts an almost automatic forceful response from local law enforcement.
