The body of Sadie Roberts-Joseph, a community activist who teamed up with police on an anti-drug and -violence program and also started a African American Museum, was found dead Friday afternoon in a trunk of a car about 3 miles from her home, police said.
“Ms. Sadie was a tireless advocate of peace,” the Baton Rouge Police Departmentsaid in a statement. “Our detectives are working diligently to bring the person or persons responsible for this heinous act to justice.”
